We reaffirm our commitment to business compliance

 “Senior management and the entire management body must set an example, know the principles of compliance and spread them to the entire workforce. This is our first line of defense for compliance. But the cultural transformation and the achievement of compliance practices must always be done keeping safety and excellence in the company's operations ”. That was how the president of Transpetro, Antonio Rubens, defined what he called the 'tone from the top', essential for business compliance.
He was one of the speakers at Petrobras Week in Compliance, which took place last Thursday (12/12), at Petrobras Headquarters, in downtown Rio. The event marked a meeting between Petrobras subsidiaries and set a debate on the importance and benefits of maintaining an effective and integrated compliance environment. Gustavo Tardin, president of Petrobras America (USA); Jair Toledo, president of Petrobras Logística de Exploração e Produção (PB-Log); Marcio Demori, president of Petrobras Biocombustível (Pbio); and Marcos Benício, president of Petrobras Bolivia.
The president also showed Transpetro´s main compliance practices, the first of which was the creation of the Executive Management of Governance, Risks and Compliance, in December 2015. In addition, he highlighted our adhesion to the Petrobras Corruption Prevention Program and our communication and training actions and the spreaddece of culture. “I highlight the Level 1 Governance Certificate, in which Transpetro gained a maximum level of evaluation in its two participations, in 2018 and 2019, which strengthen our integrity and compliance system. This assessment, carried out by large independent institutions, shows the effectiveness of our governance structures ”, he said.

Petrobras Compliance Week
Petrobras Compliance Week aims to present the company's actions, advances and challenges in combating fraud, corruption and money laundering, as well as providing reflection, exchange of experience and dialogue with authorities and specialist professionals in compliance. Topics such as integrity culture, crisis management, risk management, program evaluation, new technologies, among others, are discussed.
