From the production fields, the oil is transported, by pipelines or ships, to Transpetro’s terminals and then, to oil refineries. After refining, the byproducts are once again drained through pipelines to terminals to be delivered to distributing companies, which supply the domestic and international markets.
Brazil’s continental dimensions impose the great quantity of terminals and the extension of the pipelines operated by Transpetro.
The over 7,155 km of oil pipelines are branched throughout the country and interconnected to the 49 terminals of the Company, ensuring the transport of products between oil producing regions, refineries and processing and distribution bases.
