Castro Alves vessel inaugurates new aframax class in Transpetro fleet

First of the new aframax series to integrate the Transpetro fleet, the ship Castro Alves left Ipojuca (PE) for its maiden voyage on June 5 (Tuesday), heading to Salvador (BA), where it will make its first supply.
With 249 meters in length and 50 meters in height, in addition to a capacity of 114 thousand deadweight tons (DWT), Castro Alves was built to transport oil. This is the first in the series of five aframax ordered by the company from Atlântico Sul Shipyard (Estaleiro Atlântico Sul - EAS).
