This Thursday (06/27), Transpetro, at Atlântico Sul Shipyard (Estaleiro Atlântico Sul - EAS), in Pernambuco, named the last of the five aframax ordered by the company. With 249 meters in length, 43 meters in width and a capacity of 114 thousand deadweight tons (DWT), the ship Portinary was built to transport oil and is heading to Salvador (Bahia - BA) for its first supply. The vessel's name honors the famous painter Candido Portinari, one of the main Brazilian artists of the 20th century, author of works such as “A Primeira Missa no Brasil”, “São Francisco de Assis” and “Guerra e Paz”. The first stop of the new ship will be in Salvador (Bahia - BA) to supply. The other four aframax (Castro Alves, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Olavo Bilac and Garrincha) are already in operation.
