Transpetro assesses integrity risks for all management function personnel

Promoting a culture of integrity is one of our commitments. For this we have improved our internal controls and strengthened the compliance environment in the company. One such action is the Integrity Background Check (BCI) assessment to which all management function personnel (managers, coordinators, specialists, administrator functions and audit committees in companies in which the company is a shareholder, as well as associations, foundations and representative entities in general) are submitted.

Since 2017 we have performed over two thousand BCI assessments. The BCI is performed at each new appointment and operates as a support instrument to decision making, without issuing opinions, recommendations or findings on the merits of the appointment.

Thus, before a candidate starts a new position, we offer the manager a risk analysis with a data summary regarding the candidate, with prejudice to meritocracy. The focus is making the process safer and increase the quality of appointees, with the manager deciding on whether to confirm the indication and appointment of the professionals.

The BCI procedure involves diverse areas of control of the company. Through checks with banks for public and private data and also through our internal systems, we verify compliance with the integrity requirements of the company, taking into account privacy protection.

The BCI is part of a series of measures adopted by Transpetro to ensure a corporate environment with integrity for business, and consequently, keep the company continuously geared to development of its activities with ethics, transparency and conformity.
