Transpetro President attends signing event of the Technical Cooperation Agreement with BNDES

Transpetro President Sérgio Bacci along with Petrobras President Jean Paul Prates and National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) President Aloizo Mercadante attended on Thursday (22) the signing event of the Technical Cooperation Agreement to form the Joint Commission BNDES-Petrobras, at the headquarters of the bank in  Rio de Janeiro.

The partnership seeks to promote investments in the oil and gas sectors, focused on scientific research: energy transition and decarbonization; productive development and governance. The objective is that by working together the two companies collaborate to develop the oil and gas sector supply chain and foster the domestic industry. The meetings of the Joint Commission BNDES-Petrobras are scheduled to occur bimonthly and the term of the agreement is up to four years.

For Bacci, “signing the agreement is an important step for Transpetro to have BNDES as a financing agent for future projects, whether in the maritime area or pipelines and terminals area”.

“Petrobras and BNDES have the means and calling to be the driving force of the domestic industry. The Joint Commission BNDES-Petrobras is just one more chapter in a lasting partnership. Once again BNDES and Petrobras have the opportunity to help establish the paths the country will follow in the next few years, now focused on scientific research, more sustainable energy sources and integrity to strengthen the entire oil and gas chain”, declared Petrobras President Jean Paul Prates.

Also attending the signing ceremony were Petrobras Directors for Engineering, Technology and Innovation, Carlos José Travassos; Finance and Investor Relations, Sérgio Caetano Leite; Energy Transition and Sustainability, Maurício Tolmasquim; Logistics, Sales and Markets, Cláudio Schlosser; and Industrial Processes and Products, William França. From BNDES, Directors for Finance and Digital Credit for MPMS, Alexandre Abreu; Production Development, Innovation and Foreign Trade, José Luiz Gordon; and Legal, Walter Baère; among other representatives.
