Transpetro puts into operation another ship built in Pernambuco

The ship Abdias Nascimento was delivered to Transpetro and went into operation this Thursday (14th) at Atlântico Sul Shipyard (Estaleiro Atlântico Sul - EAS), in Pernambuco, with the destination on its first voyage to the Campos Basin.
With a length of 274 meters, the ship has a loading capacity of around 1 million barrels of oil and is prepared to operate in Brazil and abroad. With the suezmax Abdias Nascimento at sea, Transpetro expands its fleet and becomes even more qualified to meet the demands of its customers, guaranteeing the quality of services, safety and respecting the most rigorous international standards.
Currently, five aframax-type ships are being built at EAS, with 3 (three) scheduled for delivery in 2018 and another 2 (two) in 2019.
