Transpetro strengthened its position in the pipeline operation, after signing a service agreement with Nova Transportadora Sudeste (NTS), now under the control of Nova Infraestrutura Fundo de Investimentos em Participações (FIP). The new agreement ensures greater scale and operational efficiency for Transpetro, in line with the objectives established in its strategic planning.
The pipeline network located in the Southeast (Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and São Paulo), whose 90% stake was sold by Petrobras to NTS, has 2,050 kilometers, which today correspond to 29% of the gas pipeline network operated by Transpetro.
With the signing of the contract, 54% of the total gas handled by Transpetro will pass through NTS facilities. Therefore, the continuity of technical support services for gas transportation in the region involved is ensured, including operations and gas delivery to distributors and other customers.
