Transpetro’s recognized excellence in asset management is awarded the top seal by Abraman

Transpetro had the excellency of its Asset Management System (SdGA) recognized at the 39th  Edition of the Brazilian Congress for Asset Maintenance and Management, (Abraman). The company was awarded the Mega Abraman Seal 2024, the highest honor granted by the institution and the first obtained by a company in Brazil. The achievement highlights Transpetro’s commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable development.

The SdGA is a model of management excellence, robust and efficient, aligned to the highest international standards, which promoted a global improvement of 16% in performance of the life cycle of the company’s assets. 

The system contributed to the strengthening and integration of processes, generating value while identifying the ideal balance between cost, risk and performance. The system adheres to 39 disciplines of the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) and ISO 55000 norms.

Transpetro’s consultant, Daniel Sartori, highlights that the SdGA covers the entire life cycle of the company’s pipelines and terminals, allowing for identification of risks and opportunities, optimizing processes, aligning decisions and integrating personnel and areas, promoting more organized and efficient.

“The proactive approach to the risks ensures safety and reliability to the operations, while the optimization in asset use generates economic and improves the financial results of the company. These advances resulted in significant improvements, favoring sustainability of operations and competitiveness in the market”, states Sartori.

To guide the entire system, Transpetro created the Samp - Strategic Asset Management Plan, aligned to the Strategic Plan of the company. The Samp defines clear objectives and action plans for all phases of the life cycle of the assets, identifying processes that require improvements and integration. As a central element of management, it seeks to unify the initiatives of different areas, implementing the strategies required to reach organizational objectives and maximizing the value generated by the assets.

Technical works

The methodologies and technologies used by the company to ensure greater asset availability and savings in maintenance costs were presented in the 2024 edition of the congress promoted by Abraman. Among the works presented are the implementation of the SdGA of Transpetro, in addition to the activities of the Pipeline Emergency Repair Center (Creduto) of Transpetro, the predictive practices of the Machinery Diagnostics Center (CDM), the robot that assesses the conditions of the tanks in the Tanking Excellence System and the technological innovations applied to the vessels in the company’s fleet .

In total 70 Transpetro workforce attended, divided between the presentation of 12 technical works and 10 conferences and roundtables. The record number of workforce members from a single company contributed to the sharing and exchanging of experiences at the event, and was considered the highest participation by Transpetro in the history of the congress.
