We were a highlight of the 5th Edition of the Portos + Brasil Award, winning two awards for our operational results. Our terminals in São Francisco do Sul (Tefran), in Santa Catarina, and Angra dos Reis (Tebig), in Rio de Janeiro, won 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, in the “Growth in Handling Liquid Bulk” category. This is the 4th time in a row that the company was awarded, consolidating its status as reference in the sector. Promoted by the Ministry of Ports and Airports. (MPOR), the ceremony was held on Wednesday (8/7) in Brasília.
“We are once again honored to receive the Portos + Brasil Award. This recognition is the result of the work and dedication of our entire team, which continuously endeavors to raise the standards and promote excellence in our operations. The award reiterates the importance of our commitment to innovation and efficiency in the ports sector”, highlights the Chief of Staff of the Transpetro President’s Office, Roni Anderson Barbosa.
In 2023, Tefran recorded growth of 8.8% in product handling in comparison with 2022. The Sector Manager of the terminal, Aline Cláudia França Teixeira, attributed the result to a sum of factors, such as the creation of new protocols, training, and fiscal improvements in the offshore area, in addition to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the processes. She also highlighted the dedication of the teams in attaining high quality work: This award is the reward for everyone’s efforts. It reflects our willingness to accept challenges and our continuous commitment in improving everything we are dedicated to”.
On the other hand Tebig recorded a 26% growth in product handling in the referenced period. For the Terminal Manager, Felipe Toneli, the operational efficiency actions were responsible for increasing productivity: “As gratifying as achieving respect for the environment and for people. This is what sets us apart, our win”.
