Suezmax

Oil tanker for transporting crude oil. The loading capacity varies between 140 to 175 thousand deadweight tons (DWT). This boat complies with the limitations of the Suez Canal, in Egypt, 48 meters width and 17 meters draft.

 

Dynamic Positioning Vessel (DP)

Relief tanker that has a group of propellers managed by computer systems, which allow keeping a stationary position at a certain point near the FPSOs (floating production storage and offloading units) and FSOs (floating storage and offloading units).

 

Aframax

Oil tanker for transporting crude oil. The loading capacity varies between 80 to 120 thousand deadweight tons (DWT). The name is based on the terminology Average Freight Rate Assessment (AFRA).

 

Panamax

Oil tanker for transporting crude oil and dark products. The loading capacity is in the range of 65 to 80 thousand deadweight tons (DWT). Similar size to those that pass the Panama Canal locks.

 

Products

Oil tanker for transporting petroleum byproducts, such as diesel, naphta, gasoline, fuel oil and jet fuel. The loading capacity varies between 30 to 50 thousand deadweight tons (DWT). Intended, primarily, for coastal shipping.

 

Gas tanker

Type of vessel constructed for the transport of liquefied petroleum gas. Intended, primarily, for coastal shipping.

 

Bunker

Transport ship for heavy fuel oil and/or diesel oil. Its function is to supply other ships.
