ESG for Suppliers

Transpetro has worked to increasingly integrate environmental, social and governance practices into all its operations. Our actions are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and our values: Care for People, Integrity and Sustainability.

Promoting social responsibility with our stakeholders is fundamental to our ethical and sustainable performance. We aim to encourage our suppliers to adopt sustainable practices, boosting our performance with integrity. The company aims to engage suppliers based on ethical and sustainability principles, with a focus on improving our value chain, always in compliance with strict social and environmental standards.

This initiative is based on the human rights guidelines and the social responsibility policy, prioritizing ethics and transparency towards all stakeholders, promoting social and environmental responsibility and corporate governance.

What is ESG?

The acronym ESG is a concept used to evaluate the practices of organizations in the Environmental, Social and Governance aspects.

These three pillars can be understood as follows:

  • Environmental: the environmental impact of the company's activities on the environment and its efficiency in the use of natural resources.
  • Social: the company's relationship with employees, communities and other stakeholders, including issues of diversity, inclusion, human rights and working conditions.
  • Governance: management practices, ethics, transparency and corporate responsibility.

We have integrated ESG positioning into our strategy, aiming to act ethically, transparently and sustainably in our business and operations, seeking to reduce emissions, promoting diversity and social development. To this end, the company has established the following strategic objectives:

ESG Day for Suppliers - Training Trail

In an effort to improve sustainable contracting practices, the Petrobras system provides training on Quality, the Environment, Safety, Health, Climate Change, Human Rights and Compliance, among other topics.

The courses can be accessed through the Petrobras University (UP). We are counting on your participation!

The purpose of the ESG questionnaire is to measure the maturity of our supply chain in terms of 'Environmental, Social and Governance', thus reinforcing our commitment to engaging and encouraging our suppliers to comply with the requirements that meet this pillar.
